We're Going Live!
The World Streamed to Your Inbox
We're Live!
At the stroke of midnight on March 19, 2007 Justin Kan went live. Wearing a modified laptop-backpack system that was designed by his co-founder Kyle Vogt, Justin went live on the Internet for the first time intending to stream virtually every aspect of his life. 2 weeks later Justin was on national TV on the Today Show talking about his new website, Justin.tv, the platform that would eventually become Twitch.
Live-streaming has since gone mainstream with hundreds of billions of hours of content streamed annually by some of the largest tech companies in the world. A lettuce streamed live by The Daily Call captured the worlds attention by outlasting the UK’s former Prime Minister, Liz Truss. Over 500 Million people are expected to stream some form of live video game content this year alone. You can't take a walk in a major city without being recorded live. Live video is everywhere. But how do you find it?
